We all know how important computers are these days and giving your computer a ‘check-up’ is a really good way to help prevent your computer from breaking down.

Checkups:

Every six months or so you should give your computer a ‘check-up’, which can help in early diagnosis of viruses, data corruption, or hardware failure; It can also help prevent overheating, and could help your computer last longer too!

During a ‘check-up’ we scan your computer for virus, malware and spyware infections we also check for Registry Issues and Fragmentation. This can all cause your computer run slow or breakdown.

We will open your computer and have a look inside; dust is one of the major causes of over-heating and noise. Many times we have had computers come in and the dust build up has been so excessive that is was beginning to become a fire hazard! It’s important that computers are cleaned of dust regularly!

Test and replace any hardware that may have become damaged, or is causing any issues. If your computer is running very slow, usually it’s a simple matter or adding more RAM, which is an inexpensive way of upgrading your existing computer. If you feel this is the case we can assess your computer and advise on our professional opinion.

Breakdowns:

Sometimes, no matter how good you are to your computer breakdowns can happen. If your computer has crashed, frozen, broken-down or won’t start we can help.

Here at Hinterland IT we offer a No Fix, No Pay repair policy. That is if we look at your PC and cannot fix it we will not charge you for our services. If we do work on your PC and after the repair the problems re-occur, we will promptly continue the repair and won’t charge you anymore.

We’re open Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.00pm, just drop off your computer and usually in 1-3 working days we’ll have assessed the problem and contacted you about repairing it. If your computer cannot be repaired we can offer alternative solutions, such as backing up your data and transferring it to another computer or storing it in an external hard-drive.

While most of the time you data can be easily recovered, it's not worth taking the risk. We have seen it time and time again a clients PC has broken-down, when asked the question do they have a backup, a horrified look flows across their faces as they realise that all their time, effort and memories may be gone. No matter how long it takes, how inconvenient it is or if it costs you money, Just Do It!
